The author coins the phrase “quarantine permissiveness” in this NY Times article. Are we all being a bit more lax on our parenting rules than before? Have we all given in a bit more because of the extra burdens and pressures we may be feeling? How do we become more gentle with ourselves at this time while retaining some semblance of order with our parenting? As a parent coach, I wish there was a magical answer I could bestow. We’ve all been using the phrase “good enough parent” in these times. Is that the answer? Nobody wants to backslide on the rules we’ve so carefully put in place for our kids. How do we find this all important balance?
